The First Holy Mass in Syro-Malabar Rite in Malayalam for the Hamilton Kerala Catholic Community was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Akkara on Saturday, 27th December 2003 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hamilton. The Community remembers Mr. Varghese Vadakkan with gratitude for taking initiative in organizing this very first Holy Mass.
The First Easter and Christmas Holy Masses were celebrated in 2004; started the Way of the Cross on every Fridays during the Lent period from 2006 and the full Holy Week liturgy from the year 2007.
